Meet the Staff

Rachel Derenda

Rachel Derenda Buffalo MassageRachel is the proud new owner of Relaxation Station and native of WNY residing in Cheektowaga NY. She is a 2008 graduate of Trocaire College with a A.A.S. with honors. She was given awards for achievements in academic excellence and professionalism (PHI THETA KAPPA and Most Professional in a Clinical Setting). Coming from a career in outside and inside sales she is personally aware of how stress can cause “disease” to the physical and mental aspects of the human body.

Now devoting her time fully to her business in massage therapy and the wellness of others, she focuses on new ways to help her clients, through additional education and networking with other health care professionals. Like a chiropractor, physical therapist, nutritionist, or physician to aid in the recovery of each individual. She is professionally trained in western massage and eastern modalities, specializing in therapeutic Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, and sports massage. Rachel has taken additional CEU courses receiving certification in reflexology, pre-post natal massage, reiki and aroma touch techniques. Rachel feels that massage is not just for relaxation but research has shown over the years that at a cellular level the structure changes completely during a massage, that massage therapy is medicine. More and more people are recognizing this traditional practice of wellness and she is excited to help them along the journey.

Rachel can be reached by contacting The Relaxation Station or by calling (716)462-9233.

Anne Penepent

Anne Penepent

Anne graduated Leon Studio One in June 2011 with a license in Cosmetology. I worked in Supercuts doing haircuts, waxing, and styling for men and women. While working there, I was also working on my degree at Trocaire College. I graduated from Trocaire in May 2013 with my degree in Applied Science, and took the boards for Massage Therapy. I scored the top 15% in NYS for the boards, and became licensed in August 2013. After leaving Supercuts I worked at a local spa doing massage, facials, waxing, hair, and nails.

I love what I do because I can help assist in healing others, which ultimately heals myself. Massage therapy has opened my eyes to exploring different philosophies, and walks of life. In my sessions, I allow a space for my clients to let their 9-5 guard down and relax. There is nothing more satisfying for myself then knowing that I assist in my client’s physical, and mental healing.

Whats next?

While working in massage I have realized that I very much enjoy the holistic side of healthcare, and want to pursue more. I am currently enrolled in the Nursing program at Trocaire College, and plan to go on further to become a Nurse Practitioner. Through all the schooling and working you can find me in the forest, hanging out by a creek, or at home with my two cats. I love to explore and see new places, so ask me about my latest adventures!
